About Us
Inspired by man's best friend and a love of great beer.
Black Dog Brewing Company opened its doors in 2020 with a simple goal: create world-class beer while staying true to our local roots. Our name, and our flagship beer, comes from Shelby, our beloved Great Dane–Black Lab mix. While she’s no longer with us, her playfulness, loyalty, and spirit live on in everything we create. Today, you can find Black Dog beers across Central Indiana in bars, restaurants, and retailers. We’re proud to call Mooresville home to our main brewery, with a second location in Fletcher Place, Indianapolis—serving as our taproom and events space. Whether you’re stopping in for a pint, a bite to eat, or just good company, you’ll find a welcoming space, award-winning craft beer, and a lineup of drinks including wine, cider, and spirits
